Waga Energy Signs Renewable Natural Gas Production Contract in Spain

12:18 AM EDT, 09/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Waga Energy (WAGA.PA) entered into an agreement with municipal services and waste management company FCC Medioambiente to produce renewable natural gas from landfill gas at the Ecocentral site in Alhendín, Spain. FCC Medioambiente, a unit of Spanish construction and infrastructure company FCC (FCC.MC), operates the site for the Granada Provincial Council, according to a Tuesday release. For 10 years, the Paris-listed renewable natural gas producer will finance, build, own, and operate a WAGABOX upgrading unit for the treatment of landfill gas. The unit will produce 273 billion British thermal units of renewable natural gas per year once operational in 2028.
