The amendments, effective immediately, require firms to improve the qualifications of their professional staff and implement an appropriate quality management system for audits and reviews of financial statements. The amendments also require firms to cooperate with the regulatory inspections and provide requested information, data, and documents, as well as prepare corrective-action plans when required.
