01:45 AM EDT, 09/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Roche's (RO.SW) Tib Molbiol launched an in vitro diagnostic test for the identification of three severe genetic conditions in newborns in countries accepting the CE mark. The Swiss drugmaker said Wednesday that the LightMix Newborn TREC/SMN1/HBB kit, which runs on LightCycler systems, is designed to simultaneously screen for spinal muscular atrophy, sickle cell disease and severe combined immunodeficiency disease. Tib Molbiol is a subsidiary of Roche Diagnostics.
