04:15 AM EDT, 09/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Italy's business confidence index fell to 95.9 points in September from the revised 97 points in August, according to data from statistics agency Istat published Wednesday. For the manufacturing sector, the confidence index rose to 91.9 points from the revised 90.2 points previously. The consensus estimate stood at 90.5 points. Meanwhile, Italian consumer confidence was 91.2 points, against the prior 94.5 points and the expected 94 points.
