Opinions of the General Office of the State Council on developing sporting events to stimulate consumer vitality. Among them, it was mentioned that the level of development of professional tournaments should be raised. Establish a clear and orderly professional competition system, improve the classification standards for professional events, promote the connection between professional events and amateur events, and clear channels for talent flow. Vigorously develop professional leagues such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, ice hockey, baseball, and Go, and support the hosting of high-level professional events such as tennis, sailing, boxing, billiards, automobiles, motorcycles, and bicycles. Encourage high-quality capital from home and abroad to invest in all kinds of domestic professional events at all levels, create new professional events according to law and regulations, and carry out business such as talent training, brokerage services, and market development.
