PETALING JAYA: Fraser & Neave Holdings (F&N) has announced the appointment of Tarang Gupta as its chief executive officer with effect from Oct 1.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, F&N said Gupta (49) will succeed Lim Yew Hoe (60), who has retired.

“Gupta possesses a strong understanding and experience of Halal requirements and is well-acquainted with the needs of the fast-moving consumer goods industry,” it said.

In a statement announcing the leadership transition, in March this year, F&N said Gupta has over 24 years of experience in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, with a track record of leading growth and transformation across Asia and Africa.

“He has held various senior leadership roles overseeing complex organisations with end-to-end responsibility for commercial performance, operational excellence and capability development.

His leadership experience spans multiple consumer categories, including dairy and nutrition, and includes driving market expansion, strengthening execution disciplines and building resilient supply chain platforms.

“Most recently, he led Royal FrieslandCampina’s business in the Philippines through its subsidiary, Alaska Milk Corp. He previously served as managing director of Dutch Lady Milk Industries Bhd in Malaysia and Singapore.”
