12:00 PM EDT, 09/30/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eli Lilly's (LLY.SW, LLY.F) investigational drug combination of eloralintide and tirzepatide, or EloraTZP, met the primary and secondary endpoints of a phase 2b trial in adults with obesity or overweight and type 2 diabetes. In the study, patients treated with all dose combinations of EloraTZP demonstrated substantial weight loss and meaningful A1C reduction at 48 weeks, compared with those who received either eloralintide or tirzepatide alone, according to a Wednesday release. The pharmaceutical giant said phase 3 trials of an EloraTZP co-formulation are planned to begin by 2026-end.
