02:47 AM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- A Saudi Arabian court ordered the liquidation of United Cooperative Assurance Co (SASE:8190) and appointed a trustee to oversee the process on Wednesday, according to a same-day filing by the insurance company. One of the company's creditors previously requested the Commercial Court in Riyadh to initiate the liquidation proceedings. The company responded by filing a request to open a financial reorganization procedure, which was not accepted by the Ninth Commercial Circuit of the Commercial Court. United Cooperative Assurance said it plans to file an objection with the Court of Appeal after reviewing the ruling.
