04:29 AM EDT, 10/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Stadler Rail (SRAIL.SW) received an order from Switzerland's Transports Montreux-Vevey-Riviera for two hybrid rack-and-pinion locomotives. The Swiss train manufacturer is developing the cogwheel vehicles for the maintenance of the steep rail line between Montreux and Rochers-de-Naye, according to a Thursday release. The locomotives will enter service in 2029.
