UAE Central Bank, Syrian Central Bank Enter MoU to Boost Bilateral Ties

01:42 AM EDT, 10/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates signed a memorandum of understanding with the Central Bank of Syria to form a framework to boost bilateral ties and financial expertise. As part of the agreement, the two parties will exchange regulatory information on regulatory frameworks, while also looking into partnerships for payment systems, financial technologies, among others, according to an Oct. 2 release. Additionally, the entities will work on climate risk management, sustainable finance, and literacy.
