05:11 AM EDT, 10/04/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Renault (RNO.PA) Chief Executive Officer Francois Provost said that the company is prepared to invest more than 10 billion euros in France's electric vehicle industry over the next five years, Bloomberg News reported Oct. 3. Provost said that the investment, which includes plans to make cars more affordable, is contingent on the "social and political context" of the European country. Additionally, the car maker's CEO called for action regarding the European Union's automotive trade with China.
