Spanish Private Sector Remains in Expansion Territory in September

03:35 AM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Spain's private sector activity continued to expand in September for the fifth straight month, led by the services economy, while manufacturing output rebounded to marginal growth and input price pressures accelerated. The S&P Global Spain Composite PMI Output Index rose to 56.8 from 55.8 in August 2026, S&P Global said Monday. The rate of improvement was the strongest since December 2024. For the service sector, the PMI came in at 58.3, against the previous 57.8 and the consensus estimate of 57.1.
