Italian Private Sector Expansion Slows to Three-month Low in September

04:05 AM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Italy's private sector expansion slowed to its weakest in three months in September, as services growth eased from the previous month's 40-month high, S&P Global said Monday. The S&P Global Italy Composite PMI Output Index stood at a three-month low of 51.0 in September, down from 53.6 in the previous month. On the services side, the PMI was 51.7, compared with the previous 55.2 and expected 54.6.
