06:25 AM EDT, 10/05/2026 (MT Newswires) -- SSE (SSE.L, SCT.F, SCTA.F) expects most of its gas plants to keep running into the mid-2030s, Bloomberg News reported Monday, citing Chief Executive Officer Martin Pibworth. In an interview, the renewable energy developer's CEO said that the plants would keep running but on "much lower" load factors as the UK looks for flexibility to shore up supplies alongside renewable power.
