The company has a market cap of $55.6 billion and designs and manufactures exploration, appraisal, development, production, rejuvenation, and decommissioning products and related services for onshore and offshore oilfield operations. BKR is expected to release its Q3 2026 earnings after the market closes on Tuesday, October 27.
Ahead of this event, analysts anticipate the company will generate earnings of $0.64 per share, representing a fall of 5.9% from $0.68 per share reported in the same quarter last year. The company has surpassed the Street’s bottom-line estimates in each of the past four quarters, which is impressive.
For fiscal 2026, analysts expect the company to report an EPS of $2.58, indicating a marginal decrease from $2.50 reported in fiscal 2025. However, its EPS is expected to rise nearly 20.2% year over year (YoY) to $3.10 in fiscal 2027.
BKR stock has grown 15.7% over the past 52 weeks, outpacing the S&P 500 Index’s ($SPX) 15% rise but lagging behind the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF’s (XLE) 42.1% rise during the same time frame.
On Sept. 10, BKR stock fell 6.7% following an announcement from the company CEO, Lorenzo Simonelli, regarding higher integration costs and weaker margins at the Barclays conference. Management expects the aforementioned factors to weigh on the company’s near-term financial performance. Moreover, integration expenses, along with initial margins of approximately 17% for Chart Industries, are also expected to affect the company’s cash flow and operating profitability, and in turn BKR is expected to reduce its free cash flow for 2026 to be in the range of 40% to 45%.
Despite that, analysts’ consensus opinion on the stock is highly bullish, with a “Strong Buy” rating overall. Among the 22 analysts covering the stock, 16 are recommending a “Strong Buy,” two advise a “Moderate Buy,” three suggest a “Hold,” and the remaining analyst gives a “Strong Sell” for the stock. BKR’s average analyst price target is $72.26, indicating an upside of 29% from the current levels.
