12:59 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- TX Group (TXGN.SW) subsidiary Tamedia plans to cut jobs affecting 41 employees at its newsrooms in Zurich, Bern, Basel, Lausanne, and Geneva in Switzerland. The Swiss media company's unit is restructuring its editorial teams and central functions around clearer journalistic priorities, bundled tasks, more automated processes, and targeted use of artificial intelligence, according to a Monday release. The affected members of the editorial departments and print desk, including 34 full-time employees, will be offered a social plan, including further development and early retirement options.
