German Monthly Factory Orders Fall 10.6% in August

02:09 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Germany's monthly factory orders declined 10.6% in August, following the revised 3.2% rise in July, according to preliminary data from the country's Federal Statistical Office published Tuesday. Analysts expected a 0.9% decrease for the month. On a yearly basis, new orders in manufacturing were up 2.7%, against the revised 14% jump earlier.
