03:46 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Germany's construction sector slump worsened in September 2026, amid the steepest decline in housing activity since December 2024 and a renewed downturn in commercial work, S&P Global said Tuesday. The S&P Global Germany Construction PMI Total Activity Index fell to 43.5 from an eight-month high of 48.7 in August.
