03:53 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Italy's construction sector activity slumped for the seventh successive month in September, albeit at a slower rate, thanks to a net rise in employment and a softer reduction in new orders, S&P Global said Tuesday. The S&P Global Italy Construction PMI came in at 46.5, up from 41.7 in August, remaining below the 50-point neutral mark.
