03:55 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The euro area's construction sector continued to contract sharply in September, as weak demand dragged down new orders and total activity, S&P Global said Tuesday. The S&P Global Eurozone Construction PMI Total Activity Index inched up to 43.4 from 43 in August, but stayed below its long-run average of 47.1.
