(MIE.F) and EQT's (EQT.ST) Fujitec Co. are considering bids for TK Elevator's European operations, which Kone (KNEBV.HE) plans to divest to help secure regulatory approval for its acquisition of the elevator maker, Bloomberg News reported Monday, citing people with knowledge of the matter. The assets could be valued at 5 billion euros or more and are also expected to attract interest from other buyout firms. The final scope of the deal will depend on discussions with European antitrust regulators, with no guarantee that any final bids will be submitted, according to the report. Elevator and escalator maker Kone agreed in April to acquire TK Elevator for 29.4 billion euros from Advent and Cinven.
