Eurozone Monthly Retail Sales Up 0.1% in August

05:12 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The euro area's retail sales ticked up 0.1% month over month in August, following a 0.6% decline in July, according to Eurostat data published Tuesday. Analysts expected a 0.2% gain for the month. On a yearly basis, the eurozone's retail sales were 0.8% higher, against the revised 0.4% rise earlier and the expected 1% increase.
