08:03 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Moody's affirmed Schneider Electric's (SU.PA) A2 long-term issuer rating, with a stable outlook, according to a Tuesday note. The affirmation was triggered by the Paris-listed energy technology company's deal to acquire US engineering software provider PTC, which is expected to boost its "product portfolio, margins and growth potential," the rating agency said. Schneider Electric's rating mirrors its significant scale, improving business profile, and ability to consistently generate significant positive free cash flow through economic cycles, among other factors. The outlook incorporates the rating agency's expectations for the company to continue improving its EBITA margins in the next 12 months to 18 months, supported by the PTC deal.
