Apogee Enterprises Posts Upbeat Q2 Earnings, Joins Constellation Energy, Freshworks And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Tuesday

U.S. stocks were higher, with the Dow Jones index surging over 250 points on Tuesday.

Shares of Apogee Enterprises Inc (NASDAQ:APOG) rose sharply after the company announced better-than-expected second-quarter financial results and raised its FY27 guidance above estimates.

Apogee Enterprises reported quarterly earnings of $1.17 per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 63 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $391.135 million which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $359.464 million.

Apogee Enterprises shares jumped 10% to $39.21 on Tuesday.

  • Option Care Health Inc (NASDAQ:OPCH) shares jumped 32.8% to $31.05. CD&R and McKesson Corporation signed an agreement to acquire Option Care Health.
  • Ginkgo Bioworks Holdings Inc (NYSE:DNA) gained 17.8% to $17.64.
  • Pacific Biosciences of California Inc (NASDAQ:PACB) rose 16.9% to $3.36. PacBio and TychoBio announced a collaboration to generate full-length RNA data that TychoBio will use to train models for RNA therapy design.
  • Prime Medicine, Inc (NASDAQ:PRME) climbed 15.6% to $3.71.
  • Constellation Energy Corp (NASDAQ:CEG) gained 13% to $302.38 after the company announced a long-term strategic clean energy collaboration with Google to bring 890 megawatts of new nuclear capacity onto the PJM Interconnection grid.
  • Boost Run Inc (NASDAQ:BRUN) rose 10.8% to $15.88 after the company announced it signed a five-year AI cloud services agreement to deliver compute capacity powered by NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 GPUs, along with network storage and CPU node services.
  • Fortrea Holdings Inc (NASDAQ:FTRE) gained 10.5% to $23.32. Barclays analyst Luke Sergott upgraded Fortrea from Equal-Weight to Overweight and raised the price target from $22 to $23.
  • Marvell Technology Inc (NASDAQ:MRVL) jumped 9.8% to $297.82. Marvell CEO, at Investor Day, said total revenue between $70 billion and $90 billion is projected for FY31.
  • Vistra Corp (NYSE:VST) rose 9.2% to $158.16.
  • AST SpaceMobile Inc (NASDAQ:ASTS) surged 9.1% to $63.77 after a joint U.S.-Japan science and technology statement referenced the company’s cooperation with Japan’s Rakuten Group.
  • Corteva Inc (NYSE:CTVA) gained 8.9% to $13.50 after JP Morgan upgraded the stock from Neutral to Overweight.
  • Astera Labs Inc (NASDAQ:ALAB) rose 8.3% to $392.38.
  • Azenta, Inc (NASDAQ:AZTA) gained 8.1% to $46.19.
  • Talen Energy Corp (NASDAQ:TLN) rose 8% to $358.56.
  • Planet Labs PBC (NYSE:PL) rose 7.4% to $18.64.
  • Lamb Weston Holdings Inc (NYSE:LW) surged 6.8% to $47.60 after the company reported better-than-expected first-quarter financial results and raised its FY27 guidance above estimates.
  • BlackBerry Ltd (NYSE:BB) rose 6.3% to $9.66.
  • Freshworks Inc (NASDAQ:FRSH) gained 6.1% to $14.02. Freshworks will replace BioLife Solutions Inc. (NASD:BLFS) in the S&P SmallCap 600 effective prior to the open of trading on Thursday, Oct. 8.
