GSK-backed ViiV Healthcare's Cabenuva Meets Primary Endpoint in Late-stage HIV Trial

11:40 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- ViiV Healthcare's phase 3b study assessing its Cabenuva treatment in adults and adolescents with HIV-1 who had detectable virus when they entered the study met its primary endpoint, according to a Tuesday release. In the Crown trial, long-acting Cabenuva achieved superior rates of viral suppression at six months compared with standard-of-care oral antiretroviral therapy, according to a Tuesday release. The study enrolled 326 participants across eight countries. The specialist HIV company is majority-owned by GSK (GSK.L), with Shionogi as a shareholder.
