Joby Aviation, Inc. (NYSE:JOBY) shares edged higher in Tuesday trading, though no new company-specific catalyst emerged.

The latest notable developments, including Blade’s BLADEone service announcement and director Paul Sciarra’s Form 144 filing, were disclosed on October 2.

S&P 500 futures rose 0.85%, indicating that JOBY’s modest gain may reflect broader market strength.

Blade Revives New York-Florida Service

Blade Urban Air Mobility, a Joby Aviation company, will restart BLADEone in partnership with private jet airline Aero.

The seasonal service will operate from November 19, 2026, to May 2, 2027, connecting Westchester County Airport with Palm Beach and Miami-Opa Locka.

Aero subsidiary USAC Airways 695 will operate commercial jets configured with 16 single seats. The aircraft will feature Starlink Wi-Fi, dining and bar service, and access to private terminals.

Director Files Notice To Sell Shares

Joby director Paul Sciarra filed a Form 144 notice on October 2 to sell 62,500 shares, valued at approximately $380,357, under a Rule 10b5-1 trading plan adopted on May 14.

Sciarra previously sold two blocks of 62,500 shares each under the same plan in August and September.

Archer Court Ruling Narrows Joby Legal Dispute

A separate development involving Archer Aviation Inc. (NYSE:ACHR) has kept the eVTOL legal dispute in focus. Archer reported that a court dismissed some of Joby’s trade-secret and contract claims, allowed others to proceed, and dismissed Archer’s counterclaims.

This update followed Archer’s September 29 filing and narrows the dispute, without a decisive outcome for either side.

JOBY Remains Below Major Moving Averages

Joby remains in a broader downtrend, trading 6.7% below its 20-day SMA, 17% below its 50-day, 29.1% below its 100-day, and 39.2% below its 200-day SMA.

The 50-day SMA remains below the 200-day following a February death cross.

Momentum has improved, however, with MACD above its signal line and a positive histogram. Key resistance sits near $6.50.

Earnings And Analyst Targets In Focus

Joby’s next estimated earnings report is scheduled for November 4. Analysts expect a loss of 23 cents per share versus a 48-cent loss a year earlier, with revenue estimated at $35.80 million versus $22.57 million.

The stock carries a Buy consensus rating with an average price target of $14.38.

HC Wainwright & Co. maintained a Buy rating with an $18 target on September 21.

Needham maintained a Buy rating and lowered its target to $15 on August 6, while Canaccord Genuity maintained a Hold rating and cut its target to $11.50 on May 7.

JOBY Price Action: Joby Aviation shares were up 0.43% at $5.80 at the time of publication on Tuesday. The stock is trading near its 52-week low of $5.72, according to Benzinga Pro data.
