Thyssenkrupp Nucera to Invest Up to EUR14 Million in Portugal Assembly Hub

11:56 AM EDT, 10/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- German electrolysis company thyssenkrupp nucera (NCH2.F) will invest between 10 million euros and 14 million euros in a central assembly hub for electrolyzer cells that it plans to set up in Portugal. The hub will be established in a 7,500-square-meter building in VGP Park Vila Nova de Gaia, according to a Tuesday release. It also marks thyssenkrupp nucera's first company-operated location for electrolyzer cell assembly in Europe. The building's construction is set to commence in winter 2026, while cell assembly is anticipated to begin in 2028. The new hub will serve the company's electrolysis projects in Europe and nearby regions.
