02:41 AM EDT, 10/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- British American Tobacco (BATS.L, BTI.JO) tapped Merrill Lynch International to conduct its share repurchase program from Oct. 13. The tobacco giant said Wednesday that the program, which will end on Dec. 23, aims to decrease its share capital. The company added that the repurchased shares will be canceled.
