04:28 AM EDT, 10/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Shell (SHEL.L, SHELL.AS) raised its third-quarter integrated gas production outlook on Wednesday following its recent acquisition of ARC Resources, while adjusting its upstream production guidance. For the three months ended Sept. 30, Shell now expects integrated gas production of between 740,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day and 780,000 boe/d, compared with the previously provided guidance of 570,000 boe/d to 630,000 boe/d. For the previous quarter, the company produced 631,000 boe/d. The upstream production outlook was narrowed to a range of 1.74 million boe/d to 1.84 million boe/d from earlier guidance of 1.68 million boe/d to 1.88 million boe/d. Second-quarter upstream production stood at 1.82 million boe/d. The updated outlook takes into account the acquisition of ARC Resources, a Canada-focused energy company that Shell bought on Sept. 2 for over $16 billion. Shell expects refining margins to jump to $42 per barrel during the reporting period, compared with $24 per barrel in the previous quarter. It also expects to report an adjusted loss of $800 million to $600 million for its corporate division. The company's shares were up marginally during early morning trading in London and Amsterdam. Shell will release its full third-quarter results on Oct. 29.
