04:36 AM EDT, 10/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Infineon Technologies (IFX.F) expanded its partnership with Swiss quantum computing company ZuriQ to advance the development of next-generation quantum computing systems. The expanded collaboration will focus on scaling ZuriQ's trapped-ion quantum computing architecture to "significantly larger" qubit counts, according to a Wednesday release. The German semiconductor maker will integrate its advanced photonics and semiconductor processes into the design. ZuriQ was spun out of public university ETH Zurich.
