06:45 AM EDT, 10/07/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Verbund (VER.VI) appointed Stefan Waldner as new chief financial officer on a two-year contract, with an option to extend for two more years. Waldner, who serves as senior vice president of finance at Austrian oil and gas group OMV (OMV.VI), succeeds Peter Kollmann, who stepped down on Aug. 31, according to a Wednesday release. Chief Executive Officer Michael Strugl will manage the Austrian electric company's finance portfolio until Waldner takes over.
