The Zhitong Finance App learned that Wang Pindi, director of the Hong Kong Real Estate Research Department, said that according to data from the Hong Kong Land Registry, Hong Kong's second-hand housing (including second-hand private homes and second-hand public housing) recorded 3810 registrations in September, an increase of about 1.2% over 3763 in August; the registration amount involved was about HK$28.07 billion, an increase of about 5.6% over HK$26.58 billion in August. It can be seen that the month-on-month increase outperformed the registration volume. Since it takes time to sign a sales contract and submit for registration with the Hong Kong Land Registry, the September registration cases generally reflect the market situation in August.
If you divide the month-on-month performance of second-hand housing registrations in September by amount, 518 second-hand residential registrations of over HK$10 million were recorded, an increase of about 13.8% compared to 455 in August, which was a significant month-on-month increase, driving the overall second-hand housing registration amount to outperform the registration volume; 1,213 second-hand housing registrations of over HK$5 million to HK$10 million were registered, an increase of about 6.8% over the 1136 cases in August; in contrast, 2,079 second-hand residential registrations of HK$5 million or less were recorded, a decrease of about 4.3% from 2172 cases in August, mainly due to the acquisition of Hong Fu Yuan July and August After the peak of registrations, the number of registrations gradually declined in September.
As for the ranking of second-hand housing registrations in private housing estates in September, Sunrise Kangcheng topped the list with 51 registrations, an increase of 27.5% over 40 in August; Discovery Bay ranked second with 35 registrations, a decrease of about 5.4% from 37 in August; and Kingswood Villas ranked third with 26 second-hand housing registrations, up 30% from 20 in August.
