The Zhitong Finance App learned that former Wedbush technology analyst Dan Ives (Dan Ives) released the 2027 technology sector preferences list on Wednesday, listing Nvidia (NVDA.US), Microsoft (MSFT.US), Palantir (PLTR.US), Apple (AAPL.US), and CrowdStrike (CRWD.US) as the top five technology choices. Ives said on social media: “We will officially launch technology sector coverage tonight. In our opinion, investors have underestimated the size and scope of this $4 trillion spending wave in the next few years.”

He also listed Tesla (TSLA.US) as the most popular disruptive technology target. The initial rating was “outperforming the market,” calling it the most important AI and robotics platform in the market. Ives gave the above five preferred stocks an initial rating of “outperforming the market.”

Specific target prices: Nvidia $300, calling it the “basic computing power platform for the AI economy”; Apple $400, which is expected to support equipment upgrades and service growth; Microsoft $650; Palantir $250, as companies increasingly deploy AI to business operations; and CrowdStrike $335, as companies deploy AI agents to drive increased demand for cybersecurity.

Year-to-date stock price performance: Nvidia is up about 27%, Microsoft is up about 12%, Apple is up about 23%, Palantir is up about 14%, CrowdStrike has surged nearly 146%, and Tesla has dropped by about 14%.

The core of Ives's bullish logic is that the outlook for AI infrastructure spending continues to be strong. Goldman Sachs estimates that AI-related capital investment may reach 4 trillion to 8 trillion US dollars in the next five years. He added: “At this stage of the AI revolution cycle, supply rather than demand is the deciding factor. We believe this round of AI construction is still in its early stages, and we will continue to look firmly at the prospects of multiple technology winners in the next few years.”
