01:38 AM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Argenx (ARGX.BR) is terminating the phase 3 Unity trial evaluating the subcutaneous version of efgartigimod in Sjögren's disease as recommended by an independent data monitoring committee, noting futility. The committee's recommendation follows an interim analysis indicating that the Unity study was unlikely to meet its primary endpoint, the immunology company said Thursday. Argenx plans to conduct a comprehensive review of the results once the study is closed and the database is locked to understand the outcome and guide potential future research into Sjögren's disease, a chronic inflammatory systemic autoimmune condition.
