03:58 AM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Aker Solutions (AKSO.OL) secured a contract from Hafslund Kraft to modernize the 332-megawatt Nes hydropower station in Buskerud, Norway, according to a Thursday release. The Norwegian energy-focused engineering group will replace the non-embedded turbine components, upgrade the governor control systems, and enhance the main inlet valves to boost the plant's capacity by 80 MW and extend its operational lifetime. It will also deliver a digital twin of the facility to support data-driven optimization of operations. Work on the project has already started, with final delivery scheduled for 2032.
