Zhitong Finance App News, Sanfeng Environmental (601827.SH) announced that the Environmental Protection Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region approved the Hong Kong Integrated Waste Management Facility Phase II (I·PARK2) project on July 13 (i.e. issued a notice of winning the bid) and officially signed a project agreement with the company and China Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd. (“China Construction Hong Kong”) joint venture on October 6. The I-PARK2 project was designed to treat 6,000 tons of domestic waste per day, with a total approved price of about HK$21.95 billion.

The project uses the NEC4+DBO (design, construction, operation) model. The company and China Construction Hong Kong Joint Venture are responsible for design, construction and operation. The estimated construction period is about 54 months, and the operation period is 15 years. As a landmark project for the implementation of the “Hong Kong Resource Recycling Blueprint 2035”, the project will further improve Hong Kong's municipal solid waste disposal system for harmless, minimized and resourced disposal. At the same time, the implementation of this project is also an important sign of the company's strategy to promote internationalization.
