08:42 AM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The French government will release 10 million barrels of diesel from strategic reserves over the next three months, in line with a recent accord by the Group of Seven nations. The government said Wednesday the release should lower the retail price by 0.12 euro to 0.18 euro per liter to help cushion part of the shock from fluctuating global prices. The released stock will be made available to distributors at pre-crisis prices.
