UAE, Thailand to Enter Non-oil Trade, Investment Partnership

08:50 AM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The United Arab Emirates and Thailand completed negotiations for a new bilateral trade and investment agreement covering non-oil sectors, according to a Thursday release. The Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement aims to develop supply chains and increase investment flows in the advanced manufacturing, logistics, food security, digital trade, renewable energy, and precious metals sectors. Both sides are now moving to finalize legal and technical procedures ahead of signing the formal agreement.
