09:06 AM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- DFDS (DFDS.CO) completed its 165 million-Danish-krone acquisition of Naviera Armas' Volcan de Tamasite ferry and its Algeciras-Tangier Med operations along the Strait of Gibraltar. The transaction closed on Thursday following approval from the Spanish and Moroccan competition regulators, the Danish shipping and logistics company said in a same-day release. DFDS added that it will not pursue its purchase of Naviera Armas' Algeciras-Ceuta ferry operations as Spanish regulatory requirements exceeded the agreed conditions.
