According to Zhitong Finance App, Weilu Technology Co., Ltd. (01196) announced that on October 8, 2026, the company's indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Realord Intelligent Computing Technology Group Co., Ltd. (Project Promoter) signed a memorandum of understanding on a possible project involving the design, construction, ownership and operation of the Group's artificial intelligence data center in Johor, Malaysia.
According to the memorandum of understanding, the two sides intend to discuss cooperation on the project. The project is expected to involve the acquisition of land in Johor, Malaysia, and the construction of facilities and related infrastructure specially developed for AI data centers to support artificial intelligence, cloud computing and other high-efficiency computing applications.
The proposed artificial intelligence data center facility is expected to include a data center building equipped with infrastructure, including power supply and distribution systems, cooling systems, and other necessary facilities to accommodate high-performance computing equipment. The project is planned to have a total capacity of up to about 300 megawatts and will be developed in stages, with the first phase containing approximately 100 megawatts.
The Group is expected to utilize its property development and project management capabilities when developing AI data center facilities and related infrastructure. The project promoter has relevant experience and industry resources in AI data center project development, including project planning, construction, operation and management, financing and computing services, and will provide the Group with all necessary skills and expertise to assist in the establishment of AI data centers.
According to the memorandum of understanding, the project promoter is expected to assist Realtor in discussions with landlords on potential land acquisitions for the project and coordinate technical, commercial and other resources for the development of the project. The Group will assess the viability of the project and conduct due diligence on it, including whether the proposed land is suitable for AI data center development and related regulatory requirements, including but not limited to the rules and regulations of the Land Use and Regulatory Data Center Working Group, an interdepartmental agency of the Malaysian Government that coordinates the evaluation and approval process for data center development projects.
Property development forms one of the Group's main businesses. The Board believes that the project will enable the Group to use its existing property development and project management capabilities to develop dedicated AI data center facilities and related infrastructure, thereby expanding its business into the field of digital infrastructure. Nevertheless, the Group will continue to evaluate the commercial viability, investment requirements and potential risks of the project before deciding whether to proceed with the project.
