Saudi's King Khalid International Airport Sees Flight Cancellations Amid Reported Explosions

10:38 AM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- A number of flights at the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, were canceled on Thursday following reports of several explosions in the capital. A total of 164 outbound and 162 inbound flights, representing 42% of departures and 41% of arrivals, respectively, were canceled as of 5:35 pm local time, according to flight-tracking platform Flightradar24. Affected airlines include the flag carrier Saudia.
