
The Zhitong Finance App learned that on October 9, the Hang Seng Index rose 0.65% to 23941.26 points; the Hang Seng Technology Index rose 0.29% to 4085.19 points. The state-owned enterprises index rose 0.59% to 8057.42 points.
The 12 Hang Seng Industry Indices all recorded gains. Among them, the Hang Seng Composite Enterprise Index rose 1.12%, the Hang Seng Financial Industry Index rose 0.90%, the Hang Seng Raw Materials Index rose 0.86%, and the Hang Seng Energy Index rose 0.66%, which was the industry index with the highest opening gains; the Hang Seng Industrial Index rose 0.22%, the Hang Seng Real Estate Construction Index rose 0.30%, and the Hang Seng Utilities Index rose 0.31%, which is relatively far behind.
Financial stocks strengthened. The Hang Seng Index constituent stock Cinda Biotech (01801) rose 1.89%, ICBC (01398) rose 1.85%, and Wanzhou International (00288) rose 1.84%, making it the top three opening gains for Hang Seng Index constituent stocks; BYD shares (01211), the constituent stock of the Hang Seng Technology Index, rose 1.44%, JD Health (06618) rose 1.41%, and JD Group-SW (09618) rose 1.14%, making it the top three opening gainers of the Hang Seng Technology Index.
Most semiconductor stocks declined, with China Overseas Development (00688), a component of the Hang Seng Index, falling 1.11% and SMIC (00981) falling 0.88%.
The new stock Easway Computing (01256) was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange today. It sold approximately 1,617 billion H shares globally, with an issue price of HK$155, with a net raise of approximately HK$2,386 million, and an opening price of HK$1.54.
Overnight, the three major US stock indices had mixed ups and downs. The Dow rose 0.10%, the S&P 500 index fell 0.47%, and the NASDAQ fell 1.25%.
