Carrefour Sells 35 Stores in France, Spain to GIC's JV with Atrato

11:53 PM EDT, 10/08/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Carrefour (CA.PA) divested 35 stores in France and Spain to a joint venture between Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC and the investor Atrato. The French retailer said Thursday that the sale and leaseback deal covered 26 supermarkets and six hypermarkets in France and another three hypermarkets in Spain, with a combined net seller valuation of 290 million euros. New leases with an initial 12-year term have been established for the properties.
