Airtel Money Debuts on London Bourse

03:19 AM EDT, 10/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Airtel Mobile Commerce (AMC.L), d/b/a Airtel Money, commenced conditional trading on the London stock exchange on Friday, according to a same-day release. The mobile financial services and payments arm of Airtel Africa (AAF.L) set its initial public offering price at 1.96 pounds sterling per share, implying a market capitalization of 5.3 billion pounds. The offering comprised 270 million existing shares held by minority shareholders, with another 27 million shares by Mastercard Asia/Pacific via an over-allotment option. The offer's total size will increase to 582 million pounds if the over-allotment option is exercised. Airtel Money expects to commence unconditional trading on the London bourse's main market on Oct. 14
