German Watchdog Issues New Deadline to Deutsche Bank to Fix Deficiencies in Data Processing Systems

04:11 AM EDT, 10/09/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority BaFin issued new deadlines to Deutsche Bank (DBK.F) to fix deficiencies in its data processing systems used to detect money laundering and terrorist financing. BaFin set the new deadlines and updated its earlier orders from April 2021 and November 2023, as the reorganization of the German lender's transaction monitoring system, driven by changes in technical requirements, required a revision of the timelines, according to a Friday release.
