The Waltham, Massachusetts-based company is slated to announce its fiscal Q3 2026 results before the market opens on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Ahead of the event, analysts expect the company to report an adjusted EPS of $6.40, an increase of 10.5% from $5.79 in the year-ago quarter. It has surpassed Wall Street's bottom-line estimates in the past four quarterly reports.

For fiscal 2026, analysts forecast the medical equipment maker to post adjusted EPS of $25.13, up 9.9% from $22.87 in fiscal 2025.

Shares of Thermo Fisher Scientific have soared 21.6% over the past 52 weeks, outpacing both the S&P 500 Index's ($SPX) nearly 15% gain and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF's (XLV) 16.4% return over the same period.

Thermo Fisher Scientific shares surged 8.7% on Jul. 23 after the company reported better-than-expected Q2 2026 adjusted EPS of $5.71 and revenue of $11.99 billion. The rally was driven by improving customer demand across all business segments, increased spending by biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies on research and manufacturing, and a return to growth in the academic and government segment and China. Investor sentiment strengthened further after the company raised its 2026 adjusted EPS guidance to $24.93 - $25.33.

Analysts' consensus rating on TMO stock is bullish, with a "Strong Buy" rating overall. Among 26 analysts covering the stock, 20 recommend a "Strong Buy,” two have a "Moderate Buy" rating, and four give a "Hold" rating. The average analyst price target is $663.28, indicating a potential upside of 1.7% from the current levels.
