Fu Cong, China's Permanent Representative to the United Nations, spoke at the Security Council's public meeting on Yemen on the 9th, calling for the situation in Yemen to cool down as soon as possible. He said that the ground situation in Yemen has recently undergone major changes. Fierce competition has broken out between the conflicting parties on various fronts, including the western coast of Yemen, and the battlefield situation has entered a new stage of intense confrontation. The conflict led to serious human casualties and the displacement of people, and the negative spillover effects spread rapidly to countries in the Strait of Mandé and the region. The situation in Yemen has reached a critical moment, and the international community needs to find a viable solution to the current conflict situation.
