12:02 AM EDT, 10/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Moody's Ratings maintained its Baa2 long-term issuer rating on Poste Italiane (PST.MI), with a stable outlook, after it increased its stake in Telecom Italia (TIT.MI) to 87%. The credit agency said on Oct. 9 that the affirmation reflects its expectation that the deal will boost the Milan-listed postal company's scale, diversify its services, and increase its international exposure, while its financial profile will remain consistent with the current rating level. Moody's also affirmed Poste Italiane's Prime-2 short-term rating and its Baa2 senior unsecured debt ratings.
