The Zhitong Finance App learned that TCL Electronics (01070) rose nearly 4% at the end of the session. As of press release, it rose 3.92% to HK$17.75, with a turnover of HK$567.94 million.

According to the news, recently, BOE, TCL Huaxing, and Huike have jointly issued a price increase notice. The three panel manufacturers plan to stop production and cut production in the TV panel factory area during the 11-long vacation period. The latter assembly line will take 3-7 days of vacation. TrendForce expects the operating rate of the 5th generation and above major generation lines to drop 4.2 percentage points to 79.6% in October.

Notably, TCL Electronics recently announced that it is considering splitting its PV business segment and listing it independently through physical distribution. Meanwhile, TCL Electronics plans to acquire TCL's air conditioning business at a total price of HK$5.61 billion. The company said that one of the main reasons for splitting up the photovoltaic business is to allow the company to focus more on the global smart home appliance business segment, clarify the strategic development direction, and also help the PV business develop independently and broaden financing channels.
