The Zhitong Finance App learned that CINNO Research published an article stating that demand in the mobile phone panel market continued to be weak in October, overall demand was still at a low point, and the operating rate of production lines along various technology routes continued to be under pressure. The price trend this month showed divergence: a-Si/LTPS stabilized, rigid AMOLED declined, and flexible AMOLED declined.
Entering October, demand for mobile phone panels continued to weaken. There was no significant improvement in terminal delivery momentum, and overall demand was still at a low point. Affected by factors such as the continued overdraft effect of early orders, high upstream memory costs, and conservative terminal procurement, the operating rate of production lines on various technology routes continues to be under pressure, and terminal manufacturers' demand for price pressure is still strong. The price trend is expected to diverge in October: a-Si/LTPS will stabilize, rigid AMOLED will decline, and flexible AMOLED will slow down;
a-Si side: Demand on the brand side continued to decline, and the overdraft effect of early stocking in the second quarter continued. Due to the impact of price increases in IC, FPC and other materials, module side costs are still in the upward range, but it remains to be seen whether terminals can absorb material price increases in the context of weakening demand. It is expected that a-Si module prices will remain stable in October;
On the LTPS side: Demand for LTPS panels continued to weaken, and demand for mobile applications contracted. Demand for non-mobile phone terminal products such as notebooks and tablets, which previously supported the operating rate of LTPS production lines, also declined, and the overall production line operation rate continued to decline. Prices, on the other hand, show structural differentiation: prices for new projects will continue to drop, while old projects will stabilize due to rising prices of materials and components;
According to CINNO Research's latest statistics, global LCD TV panel prices may have stabilized in October 2026. By size, the price of 32” mainstream panels may stabilize to 32 US dollars, and 43” to 98/100” panels are expected to stop falling simultaneously. The corresponding estimates are $61, $85, $111, $163, $217, $286, and $410, respectively. Subsequent panel pricing trends may depend on the extent to which terminal retail demand from the domestic “Double Eleven” and overseas “Black Five” promotion nodes has been fulfilled.
CINNO Research predicts that from October to November 2026, a-Si module prices will remain stable; LTPS panel prices will steadily decline; rigid AMOLED panel prices will decline; and flexible AMOLED panel prices will continue to decline.
